The Grit and Polish Brand and Blog Website:

When Cathy and Garret first reached out about their blog The Grit and Polish, I squeeled. You don’t often get to design for clients you fan girl about, and I knew this was going to be such a good pairing of style and substance. Our first agenda way back in the day was to redesign a brand that they could grow with for a long time. We wanted something classic, with a little flare of fun, while staying true to their style. We designed an emblem, and a type logo that they could grow with and a structure for brand identity that has lasted in the blog world, which is something I can say I’m proud of. After our initial design, we also did a full upgrade to focus on the homepage more, and grow with their family.
